I really don't think anything of it. These days the internet likes to make something big out of what sometimes may be small. She is one of the greatest singers of our time. I wouldn't question her technique. At 72, I certainly wouldn't question it because at her age this performance could have been for any number of reasons. We all have bad days. However we aren't all in the public eye all the time so they go unnoticed. She is still touring...so maybe her voice was tired. Maybe she got to the studio late and didn't warm up well....and at her age that may be tough. Maybe her voice was just tired that night for any number of reasons. Maybe she just didn't feel well or maybe it was just an off night. Maybe she couldn't hear herself...bad monitoring. Who knows. She has already proven herself to me.
