I recently developed an interest in singing, not as a passion, but just for fun (like a hobby). I have always been able to sing on key. But that's only from c2 to g4. And it's hard for me to sing any lyrics at g4. I can go above g4, but only in an airy sounding falsetto like voice.

I have been scouring the internet for information on how people can sing in a chest register like voice above the vocal break. that information varies, And is sometimes contradictory. Some people say that there is no such thing as chest or head, and that it's all one voice. Others say that the "high sounding chest voice" is actually a mixed voice. I have also heard Others say that the chest voice can actually be stretched to go past the vocal break.

All this information makes it difficult to know where to start or how to improve.
