Hey guys,
I have an idea and wanted to get some feedback from others as to how viable this would be. I was wondering if anybody would be interested in doing an online session for all vocal coaches associated with this forum.
We can discuss student challenges we see and how we go about dealing with them and address struggles we are having with particular students.
It would kind of be a vocal coach support group.
Who is interested?

Dan Formica, Marnell Sample and myself have been doing group chats every now and then and these sorts of things pop up in our discussions. So it sounds good to me. We could record it and put it online publicly for singers maybe. Carl Wehden does this sorta thing with the SLS guys, it could be cool to do something in the same spirit but without having to be afraid of using words like "support" ha ha

ok cool. Yeah, I want to do this to kind of bounce ideas off of you guys and further my coaching abilities by learning from others who have done it for longer and perhaps better than I have, but I'm sure others could benefit as well. I specifically had you, Marnell, Daniel and Felipe in mind but other coaches would be welcome too.
It would be a little different than what Carl is doing because this would be coaches talking about coaching with other coaches not coaches talking about singing with beginner singers.

I second Phil's idea, I would love to see a recording of this, even if not posted publicly. I know a few other students aspiring to teach vocals who would probably be interested as well.

Sounds good. Now the tough part....organizing timezones LOL!
Time slots that I can make myself available at this stage: 10am-9pm Tokyo GMT+9
Everyone please list your timezone and range of time that you can be scheduled within. Then we can begin to figure out what times work for all. Hopefully it doesn't end up being 3am for me LMAO

So of the times listed so far, how about 10am EST any day of the week but Wednesday and Saturday?
So preferably Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday. I will set up the Google hangout once we agree on a time.

I like the idea. I'm down for it.
Monday and Thursday at 10AM EST I can do; however, I'm not sure that time will work for Phil and Felipe, as it would be midnight for Phil (he's 14 hours ahead of us) and Felipe would probably be at work.
I think a weekend time would work better. If you did a morning time but at 9AM, I think Phil could make it, but then Dan would have to be up with the sunrise, haha. (Dan is 3 hours behind us.) An evening time might work best for everyone, something in the range of 6PM-8PM EST.

I was thinking that evening would be the easiest but then I saw that 6-8 doesn't fall into the times listed by Phil. If by some miracle, my horrible math is correct then he is only available from 12am-11am EST.

I'm familiar with EST PST and Phil's time - to keep everyone in waking hours you have to put PST in the evening, EST at night, and Tokyo in the morning the next day. So for instance 6 pm PST, 9 pm EST, 11 am Tokyo give or take an hour or so.
