exact same, idk what Streisand does, I probably wouldn't be ultra hot on it musically, but Bjork is something else. Not something I want to listen to every day, but I have those days where I'm just in the perfect mood to indulge in her brilliant creativity and unhindered expression. It's taking me years to gradually work through her catalog - I was hooked on all of Homogenic and a few songs from Post in a matter of weeks but I really have to listen to her more out there stuff more rarely to fully appreciate it.
Post and Homogenic are great. You should definitely check out Medulla; almost everything on that album was voice-generated. It's a really neat experiment in voice, and has some neat cameo appearances.

being a metalhead you might be interested to know that chuck billy from Testament trained under the same opera coach Streisand trained with. Chuck sang just as harsh as Hetfield yet has retained his voice because his technique is healthier. He still has a tape from 25 years ago of his opera teachers scales and he runs through that for 1 hour to warm up before each show.
Wow, small world! He's got a great voice man. You might be interested to know that James Murphy, former guitarist for Testament, recorded/produced my band's release in 2009! Learned a bit about Chuck from that experience too, and the more I learn, the more I grow to appreciate him. The Gathering is a great, heavy album.

When does this guy use full blown head voice(No Chest resonance being brought up through vowels or anything) I believe it is around 5:18. And is he straining?

This singer sounds fantastic. Guy is one of the best recent singers in metal but is hardly known. He sounds like Mike Howe (Metal Church) meets Rob Halford or something. 2:25 to 4:15 are some of his favorite lines of him. Thoughts?

This one is not a question on how he does it Just thought you might enjoy some excellent singing from a power metal singer:

whole thing's incredible every time he does it, but 5:15 to the end on this version guys...just, holy shit. I love he just completely rests for a few bars before popping right into those held out screams.
