i see. Its great to see Ken here talking. Now from what i see about Richards, i think he can sing. There are videos of him singing(although quite easy songs). Considering he can do the exercises he provides, he seems to know what he is talking about and MIGHT know how to sing(emphasis on the might). He is, however, a little too rude. Some guy commented on a video of him singing and that he sounded like a generic singer and Kevin immediately flew into a rage saying he could outsing the dude anyday.

Still Ken, would you agree that one on one lessons with an amazing coach, who really can sing, is better than a course. Assuming this coach is really experienced (Mine is about 30 years old, has a 4 octave modal register, pulls chest up to C5 before mixing and belts up to C6 and C#6 in compressed head voice).

I feel that a coach can tell you what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong and you can misinterpret things in a course

Good stuff guys. I like everyone's honest responses. I too think personal 1 on 1 training is best but not just because it is one-on-one training because you can train with someone that doesn't know how to train and just because you're training with someone one on one doesn't mean you're going to get good training especially if they can't demonstrated themselves. So I agree with everything that has been setup up top also, not looking to defend our personal course but to set a mindset straight and that is this; not only do I demonstrate what I teach in many different vocal timbers and styles but I have a plethora of my students showcasing this as well but something important to note is this; the other vocal courses mentioned with regards to pizzas is a little ironic in that my course has approximately 80 to 100 hours of video instruction and eight hours of audio instruction . The courses mentioned above have somewhere in the neighborhoods of 1 to 2 hours of video instruction and a few hours of audio instruction A gargantuan difference. It's like the difference between buying a closet or mansion. You can't price compare the two like that. . And that's assuming that the closet is really functional:-) all in all, it's awesome to see Phil here with his forums as I know he will give people a chance to really grow. As far as Kevin Richards, instead of his constant bashing, he just needs to shut up and sing. Blessings to you all great singing to everyone.

True Wabba, but why say it here? As far as we know Rob won't be seeing this for a long time and if he does I'm sure he would hate to see it indirectly as much as directly...

If you want to suggest he improves something about the way he does business, why not be professional and directly helpful and send him a gentle tactful email about it. If you think that's a bad idea, then I'd say that's a sign it's probably best to say nothing and move on. Let Rob do his own thing, while this forum will do it better...all good actions eventually spread and influence others naturally. My point is, how does talking about him behind his back do any good? Notifying forum members on here when it's already obvious if you see it on TMV?

I know, I know, that last post I made in this thread is guilty of this dynamic too, I screwed up. I would like to delete it but don't know how.

No you're right Owen. It's pretty hypocritical of me to talk about this on another forum and not send him a private message or e-mail instead. This was not the place to post something like this... I think he got the memo long ago because there wasn't another confrontation on the forum since "CIT". I apologize and will speak no further on this! I was wrong to do that here. I wish there was a delete option as I was thinking the exact things as soon as I posted...

Lesson learned in forum politics!

Sorry to the rest of you guys. I sort of started this whole malicious discussion. I won't ever talk of these things unless I intend on settling it privately.

Ok...I'm not saying anyone here is angry but I still think that quote fits. Complaining, attacking, trying to hurt by words or actions are all ways of bitching about someone we think may be an A-hole or whatever. However none of it does anything to the other person but more often than not comes back to you. In a case like this you should feelhappy for yourself and bad for them. If you aren't like them then you are doing good. it is the other person who has a problem and we should be sad for them. Being angry only hurts you....not them.

I know I posted also, but only because I find humor in it. I have no interest in any of these programs and don't belong to his forum so could really care less.

Well in a way Felipe + Daniel I agree with you guys. Jokes aside, I really have no desire to bash anyone. I just think that some of what was said here was legitimate, truthful issues that should be expressed, instead of just keeping quiet about it and letting it happen all over again on another thread for someone else to read (possible TVS customers especially!) . General customer feedback on the WAY an employee conducts business in terms of attitude still applies to this. It isn't always what the person being critiqued wants to hear.

You see, the main issue is, Robert's forum is completely public. That means that any discussion/heated debate is out in the open. When a complete stranger that is interested in TVS and joins the forum first to see what its all about, what will happen if they see all that took place in the "Child In Time" thread? All I'm saying is when something gets heated, the way Robert reacts to the conflict puts him in a bad light to someone that is completely new to who Robert Lunte is and what TVS is. I just wanted to voice my concerns about the way Rob approaches his forum behavior. I tried to say it in as polite a way as possible so if Robert ever reads this, he knows I'm being completely sincere and not saying this to bust his balls and to stroke my ego , but to make him take a good look on the way he reacts to honest critique and for him to consider applying a more diplomatic and patient demeanor on the forum when things get rough.

Guys I want to say something about this.

It's not that I really disagree, believe me, I had my share of weirdness both on the internet and live with some teachers.

Fine, we would like that things were different in regards to the TMV forums, I saw the changes too and it seems that the liberty we had, which was one of the reasons why I think that place was cool, is going to be restricted in one way or another (something that took way longer than what I expected). Yet, all that I saw changing was the auto-edit on content we posted.

But... We are on a forum about vocal technique, not about these people...

I don't think it's cool to talk about individuals in this manner. Yes it was weird, no question, but let's keep it on the technical side. There are tons of weird things on the internet about singing, some are plain bizarre. But oh well, just talking about it in here to have a laugh wont change anything.

So I suggest we keep it specific and objective, instead of bashing. I don't think it's necessary to do so. As you can all see from the postings made here, actions speak louder than words, be it for good or for bad ;).
