Thank you so much for your advice, I aspire to learn how to sing some day even with a pinch of your talent. I will practice what you have told me and I will try my hardest to succeed. One day I hope I can begin taking lessons with you and when I do all be sure to remind you of the time you advised me on this forum. 😛

Btw since I have a deep voice(can sustain a C2) is there anything in particular I should do in order to have easier access to my higher range without going into a falsetto?

Now that you know my situation, what do you think is the best course of action for me to take in order to improve my singing voice?

P.S. I couldn't help but notice that you live in Japan, and it's always been a dream of mine to visit it(I know this not singing related but sorry for my curiosity). Is it very different from other places? If so, how does it feel like to live in Japan?

I would suggest using that singing success program but focusing on NEVER LEAVING CHEST VOICE. Drag it up as high as you can and use the exercises in the program to learn how to do that without getting tight in the neck/throat. Learn how to tighten the belly to support. Learn how to graduate from the consonant sounds to vowels only and learn how to move from vowel to vowel without any tension in the throat.
I am oversimplifying but this is the best course of action for your current situation.

As for Japan, it's a dream come true. Yes it's very different. It's a place I finally fit in with. I wanted to come here since I was 13. Pursue your dreams because you can achieve them, I've achieved every one of mine so far

Yes you want to work on your chest. here's the thing, you never leave chest you just stay in chest all the way up, THAT is what "mix" is. Learning how to do this by yourself is going to be very difficult because it's about HOW you do the sounds. That cannot be explained through text.

Thanks Phil and as much as i would love to, I have a problem... I live in the conservative country of Saudi Arabia and the problem with this is: 1. I can't make my own money and save up to pay for the course or the lessons; 2. My parents don't want to pay for them because they think I'm talking non-sense and that in their eyes it's a waste of money, even if it would mean the world to me :/. So yeah, I'm trying to scavenge all I can from the internet since that's all I really can do since I really want to learn how to sing (if not I would've given up).

So far, the most I've gotten out of the internet was a copy of the program 'Singing Success' by Brett Manning but the program hasn't really increased my range/improved my tone quality even though I've been doing the program correctly( as in I've been doing it 6x a week and 1CD per month). And I can't ask if I'm doing the exercises correctly the Singing Success staff since I didn't really acquire the program in um... the correct way(basically torrents- I would've bought it if I had the money but as I mentioned before, I really have no way to get money for improving my singing).

According to your videos, I should first attempt to connect chest and falsetto (which I think I did in that recording), then I should work on improving my call register, ans through that I will discover mixed voice, correct?

So yeah I'd love any help if you can I really am stuck in a tight spot so literally ANY help is much appreciated 😛

It's like time travel because you won't have to gamble 10 years trying to figure it out yourself with all the nonsense on the internet. 😛

Hey bro, you are in falsetto. I knew from the first second you were going to go into falsetto because you started so softly! This volume will do nothing for your voice! You gotta get some volume in the voice and sing like a man. Your chest voice needs to be strengthened.

So I would really appreciate if someone could clarify this for me? I think I'm connecting, although I'm not sure.
Here's my recording:
https://www.speakpipe.com/msg/p/3251/200453/l56mtf95lpsg0cuz2ssd4pw33tkodi1xdl52odmqh9234

It would be amazing if you guys could also explain to me how to make this sound stronger and not frail like it usually does.
Thank you!
