To me the hand gestures, body movement, connecting with the audience etc. weighed positively on the overall performance effect much more than whatever internal jitters you were feeling. You could have maybe made a better effort to smile every now and then (even if fake) but due to everything else you did so well, your performance came across to me as very confident, engaged, and experienced. Flawless singing too!

Here is my performance from last night. 1200 people were in the audience and I was crazy nervous. I had an awful rehearsal cuz they turned off my stage monitor so I couldn't hear myself and they played 2x as fast as the performance tempo. So I was pretty proud with how well I pulled off the performance given that type of rehearsal.
