Hey Phil,

Well said. I have a master degree in sociology, and have learnt how much norms, values, and group thinking weight on us, and yet, i agree with you.
There is a big discrepeancy in the fact that we on the one hand, we have valued the realisation of oneself as a unique person or individual, but on the other hand, most people are failing to meet their standarts.

I think your video is especially interesting for people who are already at the onset of their self-transforming journey, like me. These people have already a sense of the ideal, but sometimes Wonder how to proceed and step from thinking and daydreaming to action.

In the adult psychology jargon, what you just said is called the shift from an externaly determined to a self authoring life. One milestone of this transition is when you stop blaming the world and accept the part of responsibility of your own actions.
(If someone is interested to know more about the theory, here is a great book. Its quite an Advanced reading, and more marketted towards university readers, but this stuff is awesome :
http://www.hup.harvard.edu/cat.....0674272316)

Also, an interesting thing that you mentionned too in your videos is that taking responsibility is NOT thinking that you now have unlimited willpower. You start to think about how your environment influences you and start adjusting your environment so that it is more in tune with your ideal (for instance, making new acquintances).
